February was a great month–it was Marti Gras and my sister’s birthday in the same week, which basically meant: PARTAAYYY! So I went home and “partied” the only way my family knows how: a good feast. So here are some of the pictures of the King Cake my sister made as well as our family favorite salad of the winter.

I was so excited to be home and take pictures of delicious food, with my quasi-new lens, but it made me sad to see a lot of my pictures come out blurry. I think I either needed my tripod or just some much better lighting (our kitchen can feel a little dark sometimes). Either way, I am just glad I got a couple of good shots in, though I think the salad ones came out much better than the cake pics. Only one way to go from here, I guess, which is up!
